The concept for Hazéls was inspired by old Japanese Listening Bars. These were typically low-lit, serving high-end drinks with precision sound systems, turntables and mixers fine tuned to create a comforting, laid back audio exploration for music lovers to enjoy. A DJ with a love for deep dancefloor jams, Miche has fast become one of London's most exciting young selectors. At just 29 he has already released his own compilation on Brighton-based Mr Bongo records and been lead programmer for London audiophile venue Spiritland. He specialises in sets that showcase his passion for modern soul, private press disco, and deep house.
Ricardo is a Portuguese born DJ and record collector based in London. His passion for skateboarding, hip hop culture and soul sample tracks are a deep inspiration within his eclectic sets. Niro has been playing the clubs, warehouses and bars of London and beyond since 2001. His sets are underscored by melody, groove and feeling, with an emphasis on the hidden gems of global disco, house, funk, boogie, reggae and other assorted beats and pieces. He has been as far as his ancestral homeland of Sri Lanka, playing to packed out beaches and festivals across the island.
Lance has music running through his veins. He was bought up on a diet of soul & disco in the 70s and throughout the 80's and 90's had the pleasure of experiencing the birth of dance music as we know it today. He has worked in one of London's most influential record stores, broadcasted radio shows and put on highly acclaimed parties, DJing alongside the likes of David Morales, Frankie Knuckles, Mr G and Joey Negro.
Shokunin is a DJ and producer based in London and co-founder of the ambient label and collective BONSE1. His eclectic selections are wide ranging, digging into dub, jazz and soul, through to ambient electronic and downtempo. His style has seen him featured at listening bars all across London.
Kisa, the soul-healing selector of pan-African collective ‘Sample Chief’ and resident DJ for London-based ‘Utopia’ parties, weaves a tapestry of sounds that transcend genres and generations.

His choices fuse jazz, funk, trip hop and soul into an atmospheric blend for music lovers to savour. Steve’s daughter, Grace, teams up when her schedule permits, adding her own unique style of jazz, blues and chanteuse sounds.

Sanjiv has been collecting and writing about music for over thirty years from weird tango records to uplifting New York house. He was the founder and author of the world’s first series of guides to independent record shops ‘The Secret List’ covering Los Angeles, Paris and London. Sanjiv has appeared on BBC 6 music with interviews with Cerys Matthews and Gilles Peterson.
Karen-Claire began her DJing career with the Melomaniacs collective, starting out on Charlie Dark's Run Dem Radio where she carved a niche playing uplifting sets of brokenbeat. Now a regular on G-Shock Radio and Voices Radio, she brings over thirty years of listening to music to create deep listening experiences transcending jazz, soul, electro, house and always a touch of bruk.
Gavlar is a music lover with an affinity for vinyl, his roots firmly planted in the North East of England. His journey in the world of DJing began on the picturesque beaches of rural Northumberland, where he first discovered his passion for spinning tunes at local beach parties and events.
